Beirloom Beginnings |

The first Beirloom Bear was designed for a special young lady. She was about to leave her family and friends to begin a 3 month missionary trip into the country of Mexico. When I learned of this, I couldn't think of a better going away gift then a teddy bear filled with pictures. So I gathered several photos of her and her boyfriend. Pictures of them doing the things they liked to do and placed them all over the bear. Since I had experienced events in my life like what she was about to, I knew that a gift like this would bring comfort to her while she was away from those she loves. Weeks later she wrote to me from Mexico, telling me that she had decided to name her bear Joy. She said; "That's what the bear brings to me during the difficult times here." From that first Sweetheart Bear I've made hundreds of unique one-of-a-kind bears, each serving their own purpose and telling their own stories. What a privilege it is to participate in the lives of families all over the world.
